VP Biden was in Youngstown, Ohio yesterday talking about the choice in this election about Willard.
He’s a patriot. He’s a generous man. He gives to his church. He has a beautiful family. But he doesn’t get it. He doesn’t get what’s at the core of all of this…Romney made sure the guys at top got to play by a different set of rules, he ran massive debts, and the middle class lost. And folks, he thinks this experience will help our economy?”
If this the class warfare the right keeps talking about, then maybe it is a conversation that needs to take place. This weekend int he NYTimes Ted Parker talks about the psychopathic tendencies of corporations and rich people. The rich people don’t have to mingle with the commoners anymore they have a special line at the airport and a special seat on the plane.
VP Biden is pointing to the core problem in Willard. He doesn’t get it. He doesn’t understand the problems, and he thinks we are jealous of him for having loads of money. It’s not that anyone is jealous of him for having loads of money, but that he doesn’t do anything to get it. He has a special set of rules that he gets to live by, and that is not fair. He may have gotten where he is with hard work, but he owes some of it to the work of others.
Chuck Todd is involved in a media feud with Fernando Fiore and mediaite reports
“ It is as likely that fans of República Deportiva, the sports show Fiore now hosts, know nothing of Todd’s work as a senior political reporter following the highest levels of American government. Conversely, those who would recognize Todd as a household name couldn’t tell you about Fernando Fiore’s 90s prank show Lente Loco or tell you an old travel show he hosted was the first time Sofia Vergara got national exposure in the United States.”
GUESS WHAT MEDIAITE YOU ARE WRONG I DO KNOW!!! I KNOW BOTH OF THEM LENTE LOCO AND CHUCK TODD!!!!
Not about hateful dogma? This sounds a lot like hateful dogma.
Every time I run across a new Mittens story he becomes more strange than he was before. This is the story about Mittens’ favorite president, Dwight D. Eisenhower.
“And then there’s a story behind this,” Romney said, pulling out a plate with a picture of Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower painted on it. “Not only was Eisenhower one of my favorite presidents; when we became grandparents, you get to choose what the kids will call you. Some call you Papa. I chose Ike. I’m Ike, and Ann is Mamie.” (Actually, this is partly wishful thinking: Romney’s son Tagg later told me that although his daughter, the oldest grandchild, did in fact call her grandfather “Ike” at his request, she was the only one of the eight grandchildren who ever did. When later grandchildren started to call him Papa, she went along.)
Now I know I am not a grandparent, but is this a thing. I don’t think it is.
Sullivan points out key points in his latest article in Newsweek “The First Gay President.” Like Sullivan I always felt that Obama’s opposition to gay marriage was a political decision. The kind of political decision that has always separated democrats from Republicans. Republicans make those hard political decisions, and they win election. Democrats follow their bleeding hearts and lose. Obama is a winning Democrat. The opposition was always disingenuous and strained sort of like when Mittens pretends to be a regular guy. Second, Obama plays the long game but wins in the 4th quarter. The Obama administration is not about sweeping policy quickly and TA-da you have change you can believe in, but about laying down a well planted foundation to have incremental, systematic change that you can rely on. This is why I didn’t drink the Obama loves the gays kool aid because he already loved the gays and so does everyone else under 30.
I can accept Meghan McCain because the girl likes to do things like I don’t know READ! Bristol is just not that into all that readin’. Apparently bristol has opinions on Obama’s coming out message. i don’t really understand her analogy between the Female Republican candidate being asked if she will be submissive to her husband and Obama’s new stance on gay marriage. Apparently sometimes Dads should lead the family in the right direction! NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS!!!! THE BEST GEM COMES FROM HER ASSERTION THAT “the President made a massive change in a policy position that could affect the entire nation after consulting with his teenage daughters?” How is this a massive policy change that could affect the entire nation? The point is that the federal government should not have a position on what makes a marriage.
I had to reread the blog a couple times, but what I think she was saying with the Republican candidate and the gay stance is that people get upset when there is excessive family intervention in the White House (that’s why we ask Female candidates about the role of the husband). Why do we do that? Oh well let me see it might have something to do with the fact that those female Republican candidates go around preaching that they “honor and obey their husband” (2) you have nuclear codes we want to know if honor and obey is above the American People. ”Honey I know that you me to fire the Secretary of Defense because he looks at me weird, but the American people get all upset when I make huge decisions because it makes you feel better.” That is not the same thing as Obama sitting around the dinner table with his kids talking about their friends’ gay parents. He was merely using the event to illustrate a point. Most people under 40 just don’t get all worked up about people being gay. DISTINCTIONS BRISTOL!!! LET’S MAKE SOME FINE DISTINCTIONS!!!!
There is a long list of things that Willard is uncomfortable talking about, and I have began compiling that list:
I guess Mittens just doesn’t like talking about domestic policy.
This is one of the few times that I did not take a big swig of the kool-aid. I am not all glossy eyed over Obama deciding to endorse gay marriage because we all knew this was coming. The PResident’s stance has always been that his views are evolving. HELLO!!! That should have been read to say ”I am waiting until the last minute to endorse gay marriage, but I will do it. Now get off my back and wait patiently like the rest of hot button issues.” Let Jay talk about China when he wants to talk about China at the Press Briefings and stop asking him questions about marriage equality when he wants to talk about CHINA!
I’ve been on hiatus, but TOAY IS THE DAY I AM MAKING MY RESURGENCE!!!!!
I just never expected Mika to be so awkward
